Educare fuori dall'aula: Homeschooling e Outdoor Education

Abstract

L’idea alla base di questo lavoro risiede nella volontà di conoscere in maniera più approfondita due realtà educative in forte espansione soprattutto nel corso degli ultimi anni: l’homeschooling e l’outdoor education come approccio educativo utilizzato all’interno delle pratiche scolastiche. In una società dove l’accesso al sapere e alle conoscenze non è più esclusivamente ancorato alle istituzioni, è necessario analizzare le trasformazioni della scuola e domandarsi quale sia il futuro dell’educazione. A seguito delle numerose e rapide trasformazioni del nuovo millennio la scuola è stata chiamata ad affrontare nuove sfide e il modello tradizionale di trasmissione dei saperi è stato messo in discussione in modo sostanziale, poiché si sono aperte nuove vie e modi alternativi di fare scuola che hanno rivelato come il modello tradizionale non sia l’unica soluzione possibile.

The idea behind this work stems from the desire to gain a deeper understanding of two educational approaches that have seen significant growth, particularly in recent years: homeschooling and outdoor education as methods integrated within school practices. In a society where access to knowledge and information is no longer exclusively tied to institutions, it becomes essential to analyze the transformations of the school system and question what the future of education might be. In response to the numerous and rapid changes of the new millennium, schools have been called upon to face new challenges, and the traditional model of knowledge transmission has been substantially questioned. New paths and alternative ways of doing school have emerged, revealing that the traditional model is not the only possible solution.
