La disabilità motoria e l'inclusione nella società.

Abstract

Questa tesi ha l’obiettivo di analizzare i risvolti socio-familiari della paralisi cerebrale infantile. Nel primo capitolo viene introdotta la malattia dal punto di vista medico, analizzandone caratteristiche, cause e segni precoci con un accenno alla riabilitazione e all’importanza del gioco come supporto. Il secondo capitolo è dedicato ad approfondire come i genitori affrontano la malattia del figlio: le aspettative legate alla nascita di un figlio, la realtà che i genitori si trovano a dover fronteggiare, le fasi dell’elaborazione della realtà, lo stress genitoriale, e l’analisi delle diverse strategie che i genitori mettono in atto per affrontare la situazione. Nel capitolo conclusivo si approfondisce il tema legato all’inclusione analizzandone la storia, le leggi che tutelano i bambini affetti da paralisi cerebrale infantile e l’importanza della partecipazione e dello sviluppo di nuove tecnologie riabilitative.

This thesis aims to analyze the socio-familial aspects of cerebral palsy in children. The first chapter introduces the medical perspective of the condition, analyzing its characteristics, causes, and early signs, with a mention of rehabilitation and the importance of play as support. The second chapter delves into how parents cope with their child's condition: the expectations associated with the birth of a child, the reality parents find themselves facing, the phases of processing reality, parental stress, and an analysis of the various strategies parents employ to deal with the situation. In the concluding chapter, the theme of inclusion is further explored, examining its history, laws protecting children with cerebral palsy, and the importance of participation and the development of new rehabilitative technologies.
