L'elaborato propone un quadro complessivo del lavoro penitenziario, analizzato sotto diversi profili (storico, giuridico e sociale). Si pone l'attenzione sulla riforma dell'ordinamento penitenziario avvenuta con il d.lgs. 2 ottobre 2018, n. 124.

The paper offers an overall picture of prison work, analyzed under different profiles (historical, legal and social). Attention is paid to the reform of the penitentiary system that took place with the d.lgs. 2 October 2018, n. 124.
