Guerre d'Italia tra Storiografia e Letteratura del XIX Secolo

Abstract

L’elaborato circoscrive e attraversa la situazione della penisola italiana attorno alla fine del XV secolo, tramite gli eventi accaduti per mano straniera. Ne ripercorre la storia antecedente alle Guerre d’Italia, descrivendo il susseguirsi degli eventi nei territori in cui è suddivisa la nostra penisola, e presentando un affresco storico delle guerre sopracitate, da un punto di vista militare, strategico e bellico, dalle circostanze europee e la discesa Carlo VIII di Francia in Italia nel 1494 sino alla Pace delle due dame e all’incoronazione di Carlo V d’Asburgo del 1530. Conclusa la disamina dell’iter storico, si è cercato, da un lato, di porlo in relazione con gli aspetti storiografici cinquecenteschi e del XIX secolo, da Guicciardini a Balbo; dall’altro, di sondare lo sviluppo con le possibili ascendenze letterarie nelle opere ottocentesche di Guerrazzi e D’Azeglio.

The elaborate circumscribes and crosses the situation of the Italian peninsula around the end of the fifteenth century, through the events that occurred at the hands of foreigners. It traces the history prior to the Wars of Italy, describing the succession of events in the territories into which our peninsula is divided, and presenting a historical fresco of the aforementioned wars, from a military, strategic and war point of view, from European circumstances and the descent of Charles VIII of France in Italy in 1494 until the Peace of the Two Ladies and the coronation of Charles V of Habsburg in 1530. Once the examination of the historical process was concluded, we tried, on the one hand, to put it in relation with the sixteenth-century and nineteenth-century historiographical aspects, from Guicciardini to Balbo; on the other hand, to probe the development with the possible literary ancestry in the nineteenth-century works of Guerrazzi and D'Azeglio.
