Monoteismo e Politeismo nell’Antico Egitto. Momenti e Figure.

Abstract

Questo elaborato ha lo scopo di analizzare un tema molto dibattuto: il politeismo e il monoteismo all’interno della religione egiziana. L’articolazione della ricerca in tre capitoli cercherà di far luce sulla questione partendo da un prologo in cui si affrontano le linee essenziali della storia dell’antico Egitto. Il primo capitolo, accompagnato da alcuni antichi testi religiosi, entra nel vivo della religione egiziana. Il secondo capitolo è dedicato al pensiero di Jan Assmann e al suo studio dei tre momenti di monoteismo all’interno della religione egiziana per poi passare all’analisi del dibattito con Erik Hornung all’interno del terzo capitolo. Ciò che si vuole sottolineare è che questa cultura non risponde solo a un interesse antiquario e storiografico, ma può offrire un grande contributo all’uomo moderno.

This paper aims to analyze a much debated topic: polytheism and monotheism within the Egyptian religion. The articulation of the research into three chapters will try to shed light on the issue starting from a prologue in which the essential lines of the history of ancient Egypt are addressed. The first chapter, accompanied by some ancient religious texts, enters the heart of the Egyptian religion. The second chapter is dedicated to the thought of Jan Assmann and his study of the three moments of monotheism within the Egyptian religion and then moves on to the analysis of the debate with Erik Hornung within the third chapter. What we want to emphasize is that this culture does not respond only to an antiquarian and historiographical interest, but can offer a great contribution to modern man.
