Il maschio che danza. Prospettive di genere nella danza di Iván Pérez

Abstract

Lo studio affronta la figura del danzatore maschio a partire dal XIX secolo ai giorni nostri, analizzando alcune delle problematiche , sia artistiche che socio-culturali, incontrate nel suo percorso storico, così come alcuni esiti sulle scene nel corso di questi secoli. Guardando al panorama contemporaneo, si guarderà alla pièce "The Male Dancer" di Iván Pérez come caso di studio, così come agli altri lavori composti per solo uomini.

The study focuses on the figure of the "male dancer" since the nineteenth century until nowadays, analyzing some of the issues, both social and artistic, in his path in the story, and some of the solutions displayed on stage in these centuries. Looking at the contemporary scene, Iván Pérez's work "The male dancer" and his other piéces for men are discussed in the last part.
