Daisy - Spirit of Liberty

Abstract

Daisy è una goletta a due alberi di 65 m, scafo in acciaio e sovrastruttura in alluminio. I due alberi di eguale altezza (67 m), sono armati con vele bermudiane di moderna impostazione, atte a migliorare le prestazioni dell'imbarcazione. Le sue caratteristiche funzionali ed estetiche sono un connubio tra passato e presente e seguono le linee guida dei SailYacht tipo “Spirit of Tradition”: lo scafo riprende le forme classiche dei velieri di fine '800, con un bompresso inserito in una falsa prora, una cabina armatoriale localizzata nello specchio di poppa , e un pozzetto incassato a poppavia della tuga. Il design del profilo e della pianta richiama lo stile Liberty attraverso linee sinuose, espresse dai volumi delle sovrastrutture, e da un nastro verniciato sul ponte principale. La tuga, suddivisa su due livelli, è incassata nel ponte principale, in modo tale da abbassare l'altezza complessiva dello yacht e garantire un effetto visivo più equilibrato e slanciato. Ampie superfici vetrate di configurazione moderna conferiscono un elevata visibilità verso l’ambiente esterno, aumentando la luminosità e il senso della spazialità. A vele abbassate la propulsione è garantita da due motori ibridi diesel-elettrici a linea d'asse da 1000 kw, integrati con due innovative eliche di manovra retrattili, poste rispettivamente a poppa e a prua, che conferiscono grande manovrabilità nelle fasi di ormeggio, senza compromettere l'idrodinamica dello scafo. Un garage allagabile a tutto baglio permette un rapido e comodo flusso di piccoli tender e toys. La Goletta può ospitare 12 passeggeri e 10 membri dell’equipaggio, più il comandante. Gli interni in stile neo-Liberty rirendono il design concettuale degli esterni e sono pensati per essere molto spaziosi e luminosi.

Daisy is a 65 m twin-masted schooner, steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The two masts of equal height (67 m) are armed with modern Bermudian sails, designed to improve the boat's performance. Its functional and aesthetic characteristics are a combination of past and present and follow the guidelines of the "Spirit of Tradition" type SailYachts: the hull takes up the classic shapes of late 19th century sailing ships, with a bowsprit inserted in a false bow, a owner's cabin located in the transom, and a recessed cockpit aft of the deckhouse. The design of the profile and the plant recalls the Art Nouveau style through sinuous lines, expressed by the volumes of the superstructures, and by a painted ribbon on the main deck. The deckhouse, split over two levels, is embedded in the main deck, in such a way as to lower the overall height of the yacht and ensure a more balanced and slender visual effect. Large glass surfaces of modern configuration give high visibility to the external environment, increasing the brightness and the sense of spatiality. With the sails lowered, propulsion is guaranteed by two 1000 kW shaft-line hybrid diesel-electric engines, integrated with two innovative retractable thrusters, located respectively aft and bow, which give great maneuverability during mooring, without compromising the hydrodynamics of the hull. A full-beam floodable garage allows a quick and convenient flow of small tenders and toys. The Schooner can accommodate 12 passengers and 10 crew members, plus the captain. The neo-Art Nouveau interiors reflect the conceptual design of the exteriors and are designed to be very spacious and bright.
