Coastal GreenPark - La nuova forma urbana del litorale Imperiese

Abstract

La Tesi si pone come obiettivo di creare una nuova progettazione urbanistica della zona costiera di Imperia Oneglia, nota come “Parco Urbano”, comprendendo l’attigua zona delle ciminiere “Ex Ferriere” attualmente proprietà privata della ditta Agnesi e Colussi. L’argomento è quanto mai attuale, difatti i lavori del progetto Parco Urbano cittadino, iniziati nel 2000 e mai conclusi, si apprestano ora a riprendere il via, non escludendo problematiche politiche, tempistiche ed economiche. Integrando la zona Ex Ferriere si cerca di creare una fascia unitaria capace di fruire dei grandi spazi e della meravigliosa vista che il mare di Imperia offre, reinventando lotti trascurati nel tempo, o mal gestiti dall’attuale amministrazione, sfruttando comunque la buona base dei lavori sul parco urbano cittadino completati sino ad ora. Sulla scia della modernità e della sempre maggiore consapevolezza in termini di ecologia ed ambiente, si prospetta una progettazione urbanistica il più possibile attenta alle risorse che il contesto naturale offre e rispettosa dell’ambiente.

Complessivamente la zona è di circa 50 mila metri quadri e copre la lunghezza di quasi un chilometro (950metri), interamente affacciata sulla costa, viene quindi naturale pensare ad un progetto di Waterfront, dal mare e per il mare, sfruttando il clima mai troppo rigido della città di Imperia. Un’ampia zona ricca di verde e di servizi per gli avventori, dalle aree dedicate ai prodotti del territorio agli spazi per lo svago e l'attività motoria, a misura di molteplici realtà ed età, senza dimenticare l’importanza della vita di mare e di tutto ciò che concerne ad essa.

Nell’ottica del reinventare anziché abbandonare o distruggere, lo studio in oggetto cerca di creare il nuovo Coastal GreenPark, uno spazio attento alle esigenze contemporanee che non dimentica però le amate tradizioni marittime.

The first purpose of this dissertation is to create a new urban planning of the waterfront of Imperia Oneglia, known as “Town Park”, which also includes the surrounding area of the smokestack industries “Ex Ferriere”, currently private property of the Agnesi and Colussi company. The topic is very pertinent today, in fact work on the project, began in 2000 and never completed, is about to start again, not excluding political timing and economic issues. By incorporating the area “Ex Ferriere” attempts are made to create a uniform zone which benefits from large spaces and beautiful view which the sea of Imperia provides, reinventing lots neglected over time or never managed by the current administration, taking advantage of what has been done so far. In the wake of innovation and growing awareness, in terms of ecology and environment, an urban planning is expected to be focused on resources provided by the environment and respect to this latter. The total area covers 50’000 square meters and faces entirely the coast, covering a length of almost one kilometre (950 metres). It’s therefore obvious to think to a Waterfront plan, from the sea and to the sea, taking advantage of never too harsh climate of the town of Imperia.

A large green area which provides services to visitors, including areas dedicated to local products, leisure facilities for all ages, sustainable, fit for everyone, without forgetting the importance of life at sea in all its aspects. With the aim of reinventing instead of abandoning or demolishing, this study tries to create the new Coastal GreenPark, an area attentive to contemporary needs which, however, doesn’t forget the beloved maritime traditions.
