Processi di ricollocazione e trasformazione socio-territoriale: un confronto tra l'esodo giuliano-dalmata e la migrazione ucraina in Italia

Abstract

Nel lavoro presentato vengono analizzate due esperienze migratorie profondamente diverse, ma accumunate da simili dinamiche di ricollocazione e trasformazione socio-territoriale. Da un lato, l'esodo Giuliano-Dalmata, dall'altro la migrazione ucraina. Il confronto tra questi due casi permette di cogliere le specificità sociali e geografiche di ciascun fenomeno relativamente ai processi di integrazione ed evoluzione del tessuto sociale. La tesi, articolata in tre capitoli, illustra il fenomeno migratorio e utili definizioni, si focalizza poi nei seguenti capitoli sui due casi presi in analisi, dando significativo spazio all'analisi di interviste a esuli istriani e racconti indiretti, tramite l'ausilio del testo di F. Zannoni "La guerra, gli affetti, la vita". La ricerca ha permesso di cogliere differenze e somiglianze delle due esperienze, soffermadosi anche sulle diverse prospettive e modalità della migrazione, in particolare analizzando il carattere forzato e obbligato dello spostamento, nonchè il comune senso di smarrimento. Dal punto di vista geografico, le due vicende presentano tratti comuni e differenze, influenzate dalle reti di solidarietà e dai corridoi umanitari. Entrambi i fenomeni dimostrano come le migrazioni, fenomeni prettamente geografici modificano e ridisegnano spazi, reti e appartenenze, ma toccano profondamente anche l'identità.

In the work presented, two profoundly different migratory experiences are analysed, but united by similar dynamics of relocation and socio-territorial transformation. On the one hand, the Julian-Dalmatian exodus, on the other the Ukrainian migration. The comparison between these two cases allows us to grasp the social and geographical specificities of each phenomenon in relation to the processes of integration and evolution of the social fabric. The thesis, divided into three chapters, illustrates the migratory phenomenon and useful definitions, then focuses in the following chapters on the two cases analyzed, giving significant space to the analysis of interviews with Istrian exiles and indirect stories, with the help of text by F. Zannoni "La guerra, gli affetti, la vita". The research made it possible to grasp the differences and similarities of the two experiences, also focusing on the different perspectives and methods of migration, in particular analyzing the forced and obligatory nature of movement, as well as the common sense of bewilderment. From a geographical point of view, the two events present common traits and differences, influenced by solidarity networks and humanitarian corridors. Both phenomena demonstrate how migrations are primarily geographical phenomena, which modify and redesign spaces, networks and affiliations, but they also profoundly affect identity.
