Lineamenti di moda femminile a Genova tra Cinque e Seicento: influenza spagnola, leggi suntuarie e ritratti

Abstract

La stretta vicinanza di Genova alla corona spagnola nel cinque e seicento fece sì che la città ne subisse l'influenza anche su vari aspetti della quotidianità, uno su tutti la moda. Questa tesi punta ad analizzare l'influenza spagnola sull'abbigliamento genovese dell'epoca. Sono prese in analisi fogge e leggi suntuarie, e da ultimo alcuni ritratti, significativi per comprendere gli aspetti appena elencati.

The close proximity of the city of Genoa to the Spanish crown in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries meant that it was influenced by it on various aspects of everyday life, such as fashion. This thesis aims to analyze the Spanish influence on Genoese clothing of the time. The fashion of the time is discussed along local sumptuary laws. Finally some portraits, that are significant for understanding the aspects just listed, are analyzed.
