Un approccio socio-pragmatico al segnale discorsivo wig: sviluppo, uso, percezione e identità

Abstract

La tesi da me svolta è incentrata sullo studio del segnale afroamericano e queer wig, la sua storia, i suoi usi e le sue evoluzioni durante gli anni. Tale lavoro è accompagnato dalla traduzione del primo capitolo del libro "The Black Queer Work of Ratchet: Race, Gender, Sexuality, and the (Anti)Politics of Respectability” (2019) scritto dalla professoressa Nikki Lane, antropologa interessata allo studio del linguaggio e delle culture.

This dissertation concerns the study of the African American and queer discourse marker "wig", its history, uses and evolution throughout the years. It is followed by a translation of the first chapter of the book "The Black Queer Work of Ratchet: Race, Gender, Sexuality, and the (Anti)Politics of Respectability” (2019) written by professor Nikki Lane, a cultural e linguistic anthropologist.
