Abstract

UN SILENT BOOK DALLE KINDERSZENEN OP.15 DI ROBERT SCHUMANN Di Elena Mascolo Approfondimento sulla biografia di Robert Schumann relativa al periodo 1828-1838, con inerenti accenni al contesto storico-artistico dell’epoca nel settore del romanticismo musicale. Approfondimento condotto attraverso la ricerca e lo studio di documenti epistolari relativi alla vita personale e artistica di Schumann, nonché diari e scritti privati, pubblicati nel tempo. Studio di varie biografie ufficiali sul compositore tedesco, per ricavarne “uno spaccato di vita” utile alla mia ricerca. Anali dell’opera musicale Kinderszenen op.15 di Schumann, composta da tredici brani per pianoforte. Studio delle particolarità degli spartiti musicali dei brani, approfonditi singolarmente con il supporto di bibliografia riferita all’argomento, nonché di lezioni di musica condotte con un maestro di pianoforte. Lo studio e l’analisi degli spartiti sono stati finalizzati alla realizzazione di un albo illustrato che “narri” i tredici brani che compongono l’opera 15 schumanniana. Albo ideato ed illustrato interamente dalla sottoscritta, in versione silent book (libro senza parole), per un totale di 68 pagine più copertina (35 tavole doppie illustrate con tecnica tradizionale, tempera su carta acquerellabile, con supporto digitale per impaginazione e lievi correzioni) e risguardi, dal titolo Un fanciullo troppo romantico. Progetto di stampa con l’elaborazione di un’idea editoriale che preveda l’ascolto dei brani attraverso qr code generator posizionati tra le pagine illustrate, per l’ascolto dei brani contemporaneo alla “lettura” del libro. Libro adatto anche all’infanzia, con lo scopo di favorire l’approccio alla musica romantica anche ai più piccoli.

In-depth study through research and study of epistolary documents relating to Schumann's personal and artistic life, as well as diaries and private writings, published over time. Use of various official biographies on the German composer, in order to derive “a slice of life” useful for my research. Analyzes of the musical work Kinderszenen op.15 by Schumann, composed of thirteen pieces for piano. Study of the particularities of the musical scores of the thirteen piano pieces, analysed individually with the support of bibliography related to the subject, as well as music lessons conducted with a piano teacher. The study and analysis of the scores are aimed at the creation of an illustrated book that ‘narrates’ the thirteen pieces that make up Schumann's op. 15. A book designed and illustrated entirely by the undersigned, in silent book version (book without words), for a total of 68 pages plus cover (35 double plates illustrated with traditional technique, tempera on watercolour paper, with digital support for layout and minor corrections) and endpapers, entitled A Child Too Romantic.
