Esperienze di traduzione a confronto; sottotitolare Debout les femmes ! di Gilles Perret e François Ruffin e Vetro di Domenico Croce.

Abstract

Il presente lavoro nasce a partire da due esperienze di sottotitolazione alle quali hanno preso parte alcuni studenti del corso di laurea magistrale di Traduzione e Interpretariato dell'Università degli Studi di Genova. In particolare, gli studenti hanno realizzato i sottotitoli italiani del film francese "Debout les femmes !" di Gilles Perret e François Ruffin e, in seguito, hanno elaborato i sottotitoli francesi del film italiano "Vetro" di Domenico Croce. Lo scopo del presente elaborato è proprio quello di esporre e analizzare le suddette esperienze traduttive, mettendo in evidenza le caratteristiche e le differenze principali dei due film in questione, l'organizzazione del lavoro tra i gruppi di traduttori, le difficoltà riscontrate dal punto di vista linguistico e le strategie traduttive messe in atto per risolverle.

This work derives from two subtitling experiences in which some students of the Master's degree course in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Genoa took part. In particular, the students created the Italian subtitles of the French film "Debout les femmes!" by Gilles Perret and François Ruffin and, later, they developed the French subtitles of the Italian film "Vetro" by Domenico Croce. The purpose of this thesis is precisely to expose and analyze the aforementioned translation experiences, highlighting the characteristics and the main differences of the two films in question, the organization of the work among the groups of translators, the linguistic difficulties encountered and the translation strategies implemented to solve them.
