Fiocco rosa o azzurro? Gli stereotipi di genere nella prima infanzia

Abstract

In questa tesi ho voluto approfondire gli stereotipi di genere nella prima infanzia, cercando di capire come questi siano presenti fin dai primi anni di vita all’interno della famiglia e attraverso l’atteggiamento dei genitori per poi proseguire a scuola. Da qui ho potuto notare come gli stereotipi di genere facciano parte della cultura di una società e quindi come possano mutare nel tempo. In particolare, nella nostra società si può notare come gli stereotipi di genere purtroppo in qualche forma siano rimasti in vari contesti come quello scolastico a cui poi è legato quello lavorativo e, se pensiamo a questo concetto, ci rendiamo conto di come i ragazzi e le ragazze siano condizionati/e dallo scegliere un lavoro piuttosto che un altro. Dopodiché mi sono soffermata sui giochi come decostruttori degli stereotipi di genere, la fiaba e la narrazione e gli stereotipi nei film della Disney. Infine mi sono concentrata sulle pratiche educative per decostruire gli stereotipi di genere nella prima infanzia e ho raccontato della mia esperienza di tirocinio.

In this thesis I wanted to explore gender stereotypes in early childhood, trying to understand how these are present from the first years of life within the family and through the attitude of parents and then continue at school. From here I was able to notice how gender stereotypes are part of the culture of a society and therefore how they can change over time. In particular, in our society we can see how gender stereotypes have unfortunately remained in some form in various contexts such as the school one which is then linked to the workplace and, if we think about this concept, we realize how boys and girls girls are conditioned to choose one job over another. After that I focused on games as deconstructors of gender stereotypes, fairy tales and narration and stereotypes in Disney films. Finally, I focused on educational practices to deconstruct gender stereotypes in early childhood and talked about my internship experience.
