Sicurezza sul lavoro, confronto tra lavoratori neo-assunti e lavoratori anziani.

Abstract

Con la presente tesi mi propongo di analizzare le trasformazioni avvenute nel corso dei secoli dal tema della "sicurezza sul lavoro". Con il cambiare delle tecnologie e delle modalità di lavoro anche le tipologie di prevenzione variano, passando quindi dalla pura e semplice monetizzazione dell'incidente alla più sofisticata analisi delle cause, che possono essere individuali o legate all'ambiente lavorativo stesso. Questo ha portato alla nascita e poi alla graduale modificazione della legislazione relativa alla sicurezza sul lavoro, tenendo conto del mutare delle tecnologie. Tuttavia la complessità dell'argomento ha messo in evidenza la "responsabilità" del lavoratore e contribuito alla nascita di una branca della Psicologia che si occupa specificatamente di questi argomenti. La tesi evidenzia quindi, sulla base delle teorie legate a vari autori, quali possono essere le caratteristiche individuali e contestuali che concorrono alla produzione di incidenti sul luogo di lavoro. Una delle evidenze che emerge in maniera preponderante è come, da un iniziale concetto di "colpa", si sia passati ad un'osservazione più attenta delle relazioni tra le caratteristiche individuali e l'ambiente di lavoro. Nella parte finale della tesi è stata sviluppata una ricerca basandosi sul sito "Storie di Infortunio" che fornisce resoconti, sotto forma di narrazione, di svariati infortuni. L'analisi è stata condotta su un campione ristretto (27) di lavoratori, cercando di individuare le possibili differenze tra lavoratori anziani e neoassunti.

The purpose of my dissertation is the study of changes on the subject of “safety at work”. As technology and working methods evolve, so do the means of accident prevention, and we witness a more detailed analysis of the causes, which may be linked either to the individual worker or to the work environment. This has originated laws related to safety at work, and their progressive changes in step with the evolution of technology. However, the complexity of this issue has brought to the fore the active “responsibility” of the worker, and originated a specific branch of psychology that deals with these issues. Based on studies by different scholars, this dissertation aims at identifying the possible causes of work-related accidents, be they caused by the worker himself or by pre-existing conditions in the workplace. One of the most relevant points is how the concept of “fault” has been substituted by a more careful analysis of the relationship between worker and work environment The final part of my dissertation is based on research on the “Storie di Infortunio” website, which provides reports of various accidents. The study, where I tried to identify possible differences between older and newly hired workers, was done using a small number of cases (27).
