Bullismo e cyber bullismo: l'influenza dei media nella prevenzione

Abstract

Il fenomeno del bullismo assume una posizione di rilevante importanza nel contesto della vita giovanile. Nonostante sia stato oggetto di indagini per diverse decadi e in svariati paesi nel mondo, persiste nel mantenersi e nel generare conseguenze dannose e sofferenze di varia natura. L'obiettivo che ha guidato la stesura di questa tesi consisteva in primo luogo nel fornire una definizione esaustiva dei fenomeni di bullismo e cyber bullismo e, successivamente, nella verifica e dimostrazione del ruolo che i media possono svolgere in qualità di alleati nella prevenzione di tali fenomeni tra i giovani.

The phenomenon of bullying assumes a position of significant importance in the context of youth life. Despite having been the subject of investigations for several decades and in various countries around the world, it persists in maintaining itself and generating harmful consequences and suffering of various kinds. The objective that guided the writing of this thesis consisted firstly in providing an exhaustive definition of the phenomena of bullying and cyber bullying and, subsequently, in verifying and demonstrating the role that the media can play as allies in the prevention of such phenomena among young people.
