BIODIVERSITÀ.LA STRATEGIA DELL’UNIONE EUROPEA PER IL 2030 E I PIANI NAZIONALI PER LA SUA TUTELA E CONSERVAZIONE

Abstract

L’elaborato analizza il contributo della Strategia Europea per la Biodiversità al 2030 alla consapevolezza e alle azioni necessarie per garantire un futuro sostenibile. All’interno della presente tesi viene sottolineata l’interconnessione tra il destino della biodiversità e quello dell'umanità, enfatizzando la necessità di un impegno collettivo e di un solido quadro legislativo a livello europeo e nazionale per preservare in modo duraturo la diversità biologica del nostro pianeta per le generazioni future. In particolare, la Strategia per la biodiversità al 2030 sottolinea la necessità di rafforzare la rete di aree protette, promuovere pratiche sostenibili nelle attività umane e investire in infrastrutture verdi per garantire la connettività ecologica. Questa ricerca enfatizza con urgenza la necessità di adottare azioni concrete e implementare politiche basate su evidenze scientifiche per assicurare la conservazione a lungo termine degli habitat e degli ecosistemi in essi presenti. Solo attraverso un impegno duraturo e un radicale cambiamento culturale nella gestione delle risorse è auspicabile preservare la diversità biologica del nostro pianeta per le generazioni future. All’interno della Strategia, sono presentate delle azioni da realizzare entro il 2030, quali ad esempio la formazione di una rete coesa e ben gestita di aree protette che rappresentino almeno il 30% della superficie terrestre e marina dell'UE, nell’ottica di un restauro degli ecosistemi compromessi in tutta l'UE entro il 2030 attraverso misure specifiche. La ricerca bibliografica delle fonti è stata condotta consultando distinte fonti sitografiche, tra le quali il sito ufficiale del Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica e il sito del Consiglio dell'Unione Europea.

The dissertation analyses the contribution of the European Biodiversity Strategy 2030 to the awareness and actions needed to ensure a sustainable future. Within this thesis, the interconnection between the fate of biodiversity and the fate of humanity is emphasised, emphasising the need for a collective commitment and a strong legislative framework at the European and national level to sustainably preserve the biological diversity of our planet for future generations. In particular, the Biodiversity Strategy 2030 emphasises the need to strengthen the network of protected areas, promote sustainable practices in human activities and invest in green infrastructure to ensure ecological connectivity. This research urgently emphasises the need to take concrete actions and implement evidence-based policies to ensure the long-term preservation of habitats and their ecosystems. Only through sustained commitment and a radical cultural change in resource management is it desirable to preserve the biological diversity of our planet for future generations.Within the Strategy, actions to be realised by 2030 are presented, such as the formation of a cohesive and well-managed network of protected areas representing at least 30% of the EU's land and sea area, with a view to the restoration of compromised ecosystems throughout the EU by 2030 through specific measures.
