Cure palliative : un progetto socio-assistenziale nel fine vita

Abstract

Questo studio si è posto un duplice obiettivo: il primo è stato quello di progettare un servizio di accoglienza abitativa e socioassistenziale rivolto a pazienti oncologici in fase terminale di malattia ricoverati presso un hospice con un’età compresa tra i 18 e i 64 anni privi di un’assistenza sociosanitaria e assistenziale adeguata. Il secondo ha avuto la finalità di conoscere, attraverso la formulazione di un questionario le risposte che altri hospice presenti sul nostro territorio nazionale forniscono a questa tipologia di utenza. Dalle risposte ottenute è emerso che quello descritto nel presente elaborato è un problema che ogni hospice si trova ad affrontare quasi quotidianamente. Solo alcune regioni d’Italia hanno specifici progetti riservati alla tipologia di utenza oggetto di questo elaborato, altri, come quello ligure non sono in possesso di servizi specifici. La ricerca non si conclude con questo elaborato ma si apre a molteplici risposte e riflessioni. Il processo di definizione e costruzione di progetti è in divenire e in continua trasformazione e attende di conoscere le ulteriori soluzioni che altre strutture del nostro Paese hanno adottato per questa tipologia di utenza.

This study had a dual objective: the first was to plan a housing and social assistance service directed at cancer patients in the terminal phase of illness admitted to a hospice. They are aged between 18 and 64 and are without adequate social, health and welfare assistance. The second was aimed at gaining an understanding through the formulation of a questionnaire to indicate what the other hospices present in our national territory provide for this type of client. From the answers obtained, it emerged that the situation described in this paper is a problem that every hospice finds itself confronted with on an almost daily basis. There are only a few regions in Italy that have specific projects reserved for the type of client group covered by this paper, while others, such as that of Liguria do not have specific dedicated services. The research does not conclude with this paper but opens the way to multiple answers and reflections. The process of defining and developing projects is evolving and constantly transforming and is focused on learning about the solutions other facilities in our country have adopted for this type of client.
