Il Nord Italia nell'età della globalizzazione tra crisi e nuove sfide. Il caso Piemonte.

Abstract

Questa tesi si propone di esplorare l’evoluzione economica dell’Italia dal secondo dopoguerra fino ai nostri giorni, concentrando la sua attenzione sullo sviluppo della regione del Nord Ovest all’interno del contesto macroeconomico del Nord del Paese. Il Capitolo I esamina la crescita economica dell'Italia attraverso l’identificazione delle sue risorse e il ruolo delle imprese e dell'imprenditorialità Il Capitolo II si focalizza sull'analisi del Nord Ovest all'interno del contesto del Nord, esaminando l'occupazione, la trasformazione economica e l'evoluzione delle imprese, con particolare attenzione al declino delle grandi e allo sviluppo delle medie imprese. Il Capitolo III considera lo sviluppo economico del Piemonte dagli anni duemila, esplorando le attività produttive nei settori secondario e terziario, il mercato del lavoro e del credito nella regione. Infine, nel Capitolo IV, l'analisi si sposta sulla demografia regionale Piemontese.

This thesis aims to explore the economic evolution of Italy from the post-World War II period to the present day, with a specific focus on the development of the North West region within the broader macroeconomic context of Northern Italy. Chapter I examines Italy's economic growth by identifying its resources and assessing the role of enterprises and entrepreneurship. Chapter II focuses on the analysis of the North West within the Northern context, investigating employment, economic transformation, and the evolution of enterprises, with a particular attention to the decline of large corporations and the growth of medium-sized companies. Chapter III considers the economic development of Piedmont from the 2000s, exploring productive activities in the secondary and tertiary sectors, the labor and credit markets in the region. Lastly, in Chapter IV, the analysis shifts to the demographic aspects of the Piedmont region.
