Traduzione e commento traduttologico del testo La bande dessinée – une ressource précieuse pour la linguistique et la didactique du FLE di Elissa Putska

Abstract

Questo elaborato ha come tema principale la proposta di traduzione di un saggio intitolato "La bande dessinée – une ressource précieuse pour la linguistique et la didactique du FLE" di Elissa Putska che ha funzione di introduzione di un volume contenente saggi a tema linguistico o didattico. Dopo aver fatto una breve panoramica della situazione e dello sviluppo del fumetto, con focus sul mondo italofono e francofono e aver presentato alcuni fra i possibili utilizzi dei fumetti in classe con l’obiettivo del miglioramento delle competenze linguistiche ed espressive, vengono esposte le strategie traduttive utilizzate durante il processo di traduzione e alcune dei problemi traduttivi affrontati. Il focus viene posto sulle denominazioni delle categorie dei fumetti, presentando così delle differenze editoriali fra il mondo italofono e francofono, sulla rappresentazione dell’oralità, aspetto dei fumetti importante per l’apprendimento della lingua, e sul linguaggio inclusivo, soprattutto sull’utilizzo del femminile nelle professioni e le scelte che si fanno nelle due lingue per esprimere la parità di genere.

This dissertation focuses on the translation from French into Italian of an essay titled “La bande dessinée – une ressource précieuse pour la linguistique et la didactique du FLE” written by Elissa Putska. It is the introduction of a volume containing essay focusing on linguistics and didactics, sometimes uniting the two fields. After making a survey of comics’ history, focusing on their situation in Italy and francophone countries and presenting possible uses of comic books in a class to improve language knowledge and oral expression, we talk about translation strategies used while translating and some of the problems and difficulties we dealt with while translating. The focus is put on the names of comic books categories, highlighting this way the differences in the editorial world between countries, the representation of oral and spoken language in comic books, an important aspect of comic books that is also useful in language teaching and inclusive language, focusing on the way women are represented in the professional world and the choices Italian and French make to express gender equality.
