L'importanza dei neuroni a specchio nella didattica: relazioni nella pratica musicale e nello sport del tennis.

Abstract

L’elaborato affronta la tematica dei neuroni specchio, del funzionamento di questi e del loro ruolo nella pratica musicale e sportiva. Lo scopo dello studio è quello di collocare l’azione del Sistema Specchio in due contesti differenti ma molto simili e correlati tra loro, come possono essere l’ambito musicale e l’ambito sportivo. Inoltre, si ricerca l’importanza di un allenamento cognitivo e come questo possa coadiuvare, se non migliorare, una futura performance, che sia questa musicale o sportiva. Partendo da una riflessione ed un approfondimento sull’ambito delle neuroscienze e sull’anatomia e fisiologia del Sistema Nervoso, padre del sistema dei neuroni specchio, lo studio prosegue portando alla luce posizioni e mansioni che questi neuroni hanno in ambiti di pratica musicale e di pratica sportiva, precisamente tennistica. La ricerca bibliografica delle fonti è stata condotta consultando differenti banche dati, basandosi su informazioni provenienti da illustri database, quali PubMed, Researchgate, Medline, Google Scholar, oltre a distinte fonti sitografiche utilizzando parole chiave come “Mirror Neurons”, “imagery”, “cognitive training”, “Music” e “Tennis”. La prima sezione prevede l’introduzione su quello che è il campo vasto delle neuroscienze nel suo insieme, riportando classificazioni e definizioni più recenti e rilevanti, cercando di sottolineare il ruolo importante rivestito dalle nuove tecnologie di indagine neuronale e di ricerca. Vengono esaminate le componenti cerebrali, nervose e neuronali più importanti, che possano essere di ausilio nella comprensione dei temi trattati, legati allo sport ed al mondo musicale. Nelle sezioni specifiche della musica e del tennis sono descritte brevemente le pratiche, con collegamenti al mondo neuroscientifico e rilevanze di un approccio cognitivo al miglioramento della performance.

The paper addresses the topic of mirror neurons, their functioning and their role in music and sports practice. The purpose of the study is to situate the action of the Mirror System in two different but very similar and interrelated contexts, as may be the musical and the sporting domains. In addition, we research the importance of cognitive training and how this can assist, if not improve, a future performance, be it musical or sports. Starting with a reflection and investigation of the field of neuroscience and the anatomy and physiology of the Nervous System, the father of the mirror neuron system, the study goes on to bring to light positions and tasks that these neurons have in areas of musical practice and sports practice, specifically tennis. The literature search of sources was conducted by consulting different databases, relying on information from distinguished databases such as PubMed, Researchgate, Medline, Google Scholar, as well as distinct sitographic sources using keywords such as "Mirror Neurons," "imagery," "cognitive training," "Music," and "Tennis." The first section provides an introduction on what is the broad field of neuroscience as a whole, reporting more recent and relevant classifications and definitions, trying to emphasize the important role played by new technologies of neuronal investigation and research. The most important brain, nerve, and neuronal components that can assist in understanding the topics discussed, related to sports and the musical world, are examined. In the sections specific to music and tennis, practices are briefly described, with links to the neuroscientific world and relevance of a cognitive approach to performance enhancement.
