Abstract

Nella cornice dell'educazione attraverso la narrazione, questa tesi esplora e confronta due eminenti figure del panorama letterario e pedagogico italiano: Gianni Rodari e Alberto Manzi. Analizzando le influenze e le esperienze che hanno modellato le loro prospettive pedagogiche e narrative, cercherò di comprendere come abbiano plasmato l'immaginazione e l'educazione di generazioni di lettori, sia bambini che adulti. Inizio con una panoramica delle biografie e delle formazioni degli autori, gettando le basi per comprendere le loro prospettive pedagogiche e narrative. Esamino le opere letterarie di Gianni Rodari, con particolare attenzione alle sue filastrocche e romanzi, svelando le gioie nascoste e l'incanto nelle sue creazioni. Esploro anche il suo contributo al giornalismo e al teatro, evidenziando un aspetto meno noto ma rilevante della sua carriera. Successivamente, esamino la "Grammatica della Fantasia" di Rodari e l'uso delle fiabe classiche e contemporanee come strumento educativo e di stimolazione dell'immaginazione. Poi passo ad Alberto Manzi, pioniere dell'educazione degli adulti, autore di "Non è mai troppo tardi", e esploro la sua eredità pedagogica e il suo impegno nell'educazione attraverso la televisione. Infine, attraverso un'analisi critica, confronto le visioni educative di Rodari e Manzi, evidenziando le loro diverse prospettive sulle tematiche educative e sociali. Questa tesi mira a delineare la diversità e la ricchezza dell'universo letterario di Rodari e Manzi, mettendo in luce il loro contributo unico e significativo alla narrazione educativa italiana e all'educazione contemporanea.

In the broad and captivating realm of education through storytelling, this thesis sets out to explore and compare two prominent figures in the Italia literary and pedagogical landscape: Gianni Rodari and Alberto Manzi. Through detailed analysis and careful comparison, this research aims to shed light on how these two authors have contributed to shaping the imagination and education of generations of readers, both children and adults. The investigative journey begins with an overview of the biographies and backgrounds of both authors, laying the foundation to understand the influences and experiences that have molded their pedagogical and narrayive perspectives. Subsequently, we delve into Gianni Rodari's literary works, with a particular focus on his nursery rhymes and novels, in order to unveil the hidden joys and enchantment that lie between the lines of his creations. After exploring Rodari's contribution to children's literature, we shift our focus to his debut and commitment to journalism, highlighting another, often lesser-known, facet of Rodari that is equally significant. Furthermore, we delve into his contributions to theater and analyze how he utilized the power of stories to educate and engage his audience. From there, we move on to an examination of Rodari's "Grammatica della Fantasia" and his creative exploration of language, delving into his use and reuse of classic and contemporary fairy tales as education tools for imagination. In the next chapter, we pivot to the other pole of this liteary comparison, dedicating our attention to Alberto Manzi, a recognized pioneer in adult education and author of "Non è mai troppo tardi". We explore his pedagogical legacy and ongoing commitment to education, discovering how he influenced the learning and growth of individuals through television. Finally, through an intensive critical analysis, we compare the educational visions of Rodari and Manzi, emphasizing the pedagogical connections between them.
