La problematica del cyberbullismo: pedagogia dell'empatia e dispositivi tecnologici come possibili risposte pedagogiche

Abstract

La tesi ha l’obiettivo di presentare la problematica del cyberbullismo, analizzandone le caratteristiche principali e gli effetti che può causare nei soggetti coinvolti. L’elaborato presenta il fenomeno anche alla luce degli effetti portati dal COVID-19 che rese vittime di cyberbullismo anche soggetti di tenera età come bambini e preadolescenti. Viene illustrato il cyberbullismo partendo dall’analisi della società odierna, proseguendo con la differenziazione del fenomeno dal bullismo tradizionale e la presentazione di un excursus storico che comprende l’entrata del cyberbullismo nel mondo giuridico con la legge 71 del 2017, a tutela delle vittime. Successivamente a questa parte più descrittiva, vi è la parte centrale della tesi che si concentra sulla pedagogia dell’empatia, presentando l’empatia come una categoria pedagogica fondamentale per prevenire il fenomeno del cyberbullismo. Si arriva così alla conclusione dell’elaborato che dedica spazio alle figure in ambito scolastico e di sicurezza sociale alle quali le vittime possono rivolgersi per chiedere aiuto e alla descrizione di piattaforme online e applicazioni scaricabili su smartphone che devono essere maggiormente divulgate così da aumentare la loro conoscenza e poter essere usati da tutti come strumenti per affrontare e contrastare il cyberbullismo.

The thesis aims to present the problem of cyberbullying, analyzing its main characteristics and the effects it can cause on the subjects involved. The essay presents the phenomenon also considering the effects brought about by COVID-19 which made even young people such as children and pre-adolescents’ victims of cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is illustrated starting from the analysis of today's society, continuing with the differentiation of the phenomenon from traditional bullying and the presentation of a historical excursus which includes the entry of cyberbullying into the legal world with law 71 of 2017, to protect the victims. After this descriptive part, there is the central part of the thesis which focuses on the pedagogy of empathy, presenting empathy as a fundamental pedagogical category to prevent the phenomenon of cyberbullying. This leads to the conclusion of the essay which dedicates space to the figures in the school and social security fields to whom victims can turn for help and to the description of online platforms and applications downloadable on smartphones which must be more widely disseminated to increase their knowledge and can be used by all as tools to address and combat cyberbullying.
