Enti pubblici e comunicazione - Il caso di Ports Of Genoa

Abstract

Il presente testo si propone di svolgere un’analisi integrata sull’attività di comunicazione dell’Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale e del suo innovativo brand Ports Of Genoa, come esempio di pubblica amministrazione che decide di investire in nuove forme di comunicazione all’avanguardia. La particolare natura dell’ente aprirà le porte ad un approfondimento sul ruolo che la pubblica amministrazione in oggetto riveste all’interno del contesto urbano in cui è inserita, e ad un’indagine su quello che è il peculiare rapporto che intercorre tra Porto e Città; analizzeremo nello specifico lo storico contesto genovese, nonostante l’Autorità di Sistema Portuale sia responsabile anche della gestione dei porti di Savona e Vado Ligure Partendo dagli spunti forniti dall’ente, si proseguirà in un’analisi più ampia del fenomeno della comunicazione delle pubbliche amministrazioni, per sottolinearne i cambiamenti e le prospettive future e comprendere fino in fondo l’importanza dell’implementazione di nuove strutture comunicative aperte che siano in grado di rinnovare e ampliare il ruolo della cittadinanza all’interno del processo decisionale della cosa pubblica.

The aim of this essay is to carry out an integrated analysis of the communication activity of the Western Ligurian Sea Ports Authority and its innovative brand Ports Of Genoa, as an example of public administration that decides to invest in new forms of communication. The nature of the institution created the opportunity to do an in-depth analysis of the role that this public administration plays within the urban context in which it's inserted, and to investigate the relationship between the Port and the City ; we will specifically analyze the historic Genoese context, although the Port System Authority is also responsible for the management of the ports of Savona and Vado Ligure. Starting from the cues provided by the institution, we will continue with a broader analysis of the phenomenon of public administration communication, to underline the changes and future prospects and fully understand the importance of implementing new open communication structures that are capable of renewing and expanding the role of citizenship within the decision-making process of public affairs.
