IL SUCCESSO SCOLASTICO DELL'ALUNNO IN RELAZIONE ALLE ASPETTATIVE E ALL'EMPATIA DEGLI INSEGNANTI

Abstract

All’interno di questo elaborato viene affrontato il fenomeno del successo scolastico in relazione alle aspettative e all’empatia. I soggetti coinvolti nell’analisi sono gli studenti e gli insegnanti. La tesi si sviluppa a partire da un primo inquadramento teorico riguardante, infatti, i tre concetti chiave presi in considerazione (aspettative, empatia e successo scolastico). Sulla base delle suddette considerazioni è stata pertanto condotta una ricerca etnografica incentrata sulla tecnica dell’osservazione partecipante, per individuare analogie e differenze presenti in due contesti diversi – in una scuola paritaria e in una scuola statale- mediante l’analisi di atteggiamenti e comportamenti di due insegnanti. L’osservazione è stata condotta nell’arco di circa un mese e mezzo, tra febbraio e aprile 2023, e ha condotto verso la stesura di un diario di campo in cui sono stati riportati tutti gli episodi rilevati.

Within this paper, the phenomenon of school success in relation to expectations and empathy is addressed. The subjects involved in the analysis are students and teachers. The thesis is developed from an initial theoretical framework concerning, in fact, the three key concepts under consideration (expectations, empathy and school success). Based on the above considerations, therefore, ethnographic research was conducted focusing on the technique of participant observation to identify similarities and differences present in two different contexts-in a peer school and a state school-through the analysis of attitudes and behaviors of two teachers. The observation was conducted over a period of about a month and a half, between February and April 2023, and led toward the writing of a field diary in which all the episodes detected were reported.
