"Rapporti tra la Federazione russa e le ex Repubbliche dell'U.R.S.S."

Abstract

La tesi è articolata in tre capitoli: nel primo capitolo si analizzano le motivazioni che hanno portato alla caduta dell’Unione sovietica, dimostrando che le riforme messe in atto da Gorbačëv non furono le sole ad avere un impatto determinante sul crollo dell’Unione sovietica. Nel secondo capitolo si analizzano le prime relazioni tra la Federazione russa e le ex Repubbliche sovietiche, attraverso due importanti organismi, il CSI e l’ODKB. Approfondendo, in particolar modo, l’impatto che queste strutture hanno avuto nel condizionare le relazioni tra la Federazione russa e le ex Repubbliche sovietiche e, il ruolo di primissimo piano giocato da Mosca nel determinare ed influenzare le politiche adottate nel corso degli anni da questi organismi. Nel terzo capito, attraverso l’analisi dei casi di studio dei vari paesi, si dimostra chiaramente come: da un lato Putin abbia sempre cercato, con molta difficoltà, di gestire e controllare le ex repubbliche nello spazio post-sovietico; dall’altro come molte ex repubbliche si sono volute distaccare completamente dall’influenza russa intraprendendo la strada dell’integrazione europea e cercando un alleato nella NATO.

The thesis is divided into three chapters: the first chapter analyzes the reasons that led to the fall of the Soviet Union, demonstrating that the reforms implemented by Gorbachev were not the only ones to have a decisive impact on the collapse of the Soviet Union. The second chapter analyzes the first relations between the Russian Federation and the former Soviet republics, through two important bodies, the CIS and the ODKB. Investigating, in particular, the impact that these structures have had in influencing relations between the Russian Federation and the former Soviet Republics and the leading role played by Moscow in determining and influencing the policies encountered over the years by these organisms. In the third chapter, through the analysis of the case studies of the various countries, it is clearly demonstrated how: on the one hand, Putin has always tried, with great difficulty, to manage and control the former republics in the post-Soviet space; on the other, like many former republics, they wanted to detach themselves completely from Russian influence by embarking on the path of European integration and seeking an ally in NATO.
