Sulla visione morale nell’opera di Sergej Dovlatov. Il rapporto tra etica e umorismo

Abstract

Lo scopo del presente lavoro è quello di delineare il quadro filosofico e, in particolare, il messaggio etico che emergono dall’umorismo di Sergej Dovlatov (1941 – 1990), scrittore e giornalista di lingua russa della “terza ondata”. Il lavoro implica, inoltre, un’analisi delle nozioni di “bene” e “male”, definendo perché esista un legame tra l’empatia, intesa come l’abilità di vedere le ragioni dell’altro, e la capacità del divertire, in grado di volgere la prospettiva altrove (cfr. Salmon 2010, 207), nonché come inclinazione a prendere le distanze dalle proprie rigidità. in aggiunta, si intende argomentare l’esistenza di una relazione tra arte ed etica che affiora da due opere emblematiche di Sergej Dovlatov: "Regime speciale. Appunti di un sorvegliante" (1982) e "La marcia dei solitari" (1983). Tuttavia, dapprima è opportuno chiarire il concetto di “etica/morale”.

The aim of the present work consists of outlining the philosophical framework and, in particular, the ethical message that arise from the humour of Sergej Dovlatov (1941 - 1990), a Russian language writer and journalist of the "third wave". Furthermore, the work involves an analysis of the concepts of "good" and "evil", explaining why there is a connection between empathy and the ability to divert, i.e. able to take one's perspective away from something (cf. Salmon 2010, 207). The former is meant as the capability to understand other person's reasons, while the latter is the inclination to distance ourselves from our own prejudices. Moreover, we intend to argue the existence of a relationship between art and ethics that emerges from two emblematic works by Sergej Dovlatov: "The Zone: A Prison Camp Guard's Story" (1982) and "The March of the Single People" (1983). Nevertheless, the concept of "ethics/moral" should first be clarified.
