Podstročnik: trasposizione letteraria di una serie televisiva ‘cult’.

Abstract

Lilianna Zinov’evna Lungina (1920-1998) è stata una rinomata traduttrice e intellettuale russa. In Podstročnik, la serie TV biografica diretta da Oleg Veniaminovič Dorman, la celebre traduttrice racconta la sua vita in quindici intense puntate. Tuttavia, la serie TV rappresenta anche un'importante testimonianza degli eventi e dei cambiamenti che hanno caratterizzato buona parte del XX secolo e costruito la storia della Russia. La serie TV è stata mandata in onda, per la prima volta, nel luglio del 2009 dal canale televisivo russo "Rossija" e ha appassionato moltissimi telespettatori. Qualche anno dopo, nel 2016, sarebbe uscito il libro Podstročnik: žizn’ Lilianny Lunginoij, rasskazannaja eju v fil’me Olega Dormana (Podstročnik: la vita di Lilianna Lungina, raccontata da lei stessa nel film di Oleg Dorman), scritto sulla falsa riga della serie TV. Il progetto di Podstročnik si sviluppa, quindi, attraverso due strumenti di narrazione tra loro molto diversi, ma che in un certo senso si completano a vicenda e permettono agli spettatori e ai lettori di avere un’esperienza esaustiva del racconto di Lungina, dal momento che il libro contiene approfondimenti riguardanti diversi temi non inclusi nella serie TV e la serie TV include elementi visivi e sonori che aiutano lo spettatore a sentirsi partecipe del racconto. Il presente progetto di tesi ha l’obiettivo di evidenziare le principali differenze che si osservano tra libro e serie TV, e analizzare il processo di trasposizione letteraria di una serie TV. Inoltre, la ricerca include un'intervista inedita via email al regista Oleg Dorman e un'appendice di traduzioni delle parti del racconto incluse nel libro, ma non presenti nella serie TV.

Lilianna Zinov'evna Lungina (1920-1998) was a renowned Russian translator and intellectual. In Podstročnik, the biographical TV series directed by Oleg Veniaminovič Dorman, the famous translator recounts her life in fifteen intense episodes. However, the TV series is also an important account of the events and changes that characterised much of the 20th century and shaped Russia's history. The TV series was aired for the first time in July 2009 by the Russian TV channel 'Rossija' and thrilled many viewers. A few years later, in 2016, the book Podstročnik: žizn' Lilianny Lunginoij, rasskazannaja eju v fil'me Olega Dormana (Podstročnik: the life of Lilianna Lungina, narrated by herself in Oleg Dorman's film), written along the lines of the TV series, would be released. Podstročnik's project is thus developed through two narrative tools that are very different from each other, but which in a way complement each other and allow viewers and readers to have a comprehensive experience of Lungina's story, since the book contains in-depth analyses of various themes not included in the TV series, and the TV series includes visual and audio elements that help the viewer feel involved in the story. This thesis project aims to highlight the main differences observed between the book and the TV series, and to analyse the process of literary transposition of a TV series. In addition, the research includes an unpublished email interview with director Oleg Dorman and an appendix of translations of the parts of the story included in the book, but not present in the TV series.
