Ateismo e politica nel pensiero filosofico di Augusto Del Noce

Abstract

Augusto Del Noce (Pistoia 1910- Roma 1989) fu uno dei più importanti filosofi cattolici del Novecento. Con questa tesi si desidera delineare alcune fasi del suo percorso filosofico e nel seguirlo ciò che emerge maggiormente è come egli cercò sempre di ricercare la verità in modo esistenziale. Fu un filosofo che anticipò i tempi e la sua rettitudine lo accompagnò per tutta la sua esistenza. Nel primo capitolo si affronterà l’itinerario biografico di Augusto Del Noce che partirà dal liceo M. D’Azeglio dove si inizierà a delineare “una vocazione” che lo condurrà ad essere un pensatore cattolico che procederà nel suo percorso senza mai dubitare sul suo cattolicesimo. Nel secondo capitolo si affronterà il tema della modernità che è un argomento che sta al centro del pensiero politico di Del Noce. Essa è caratterizzata dal manifestarsi del razionalismo positivo che ha in sé, fino ad arrivare gradualmente ad una vittoria dell’ateismo alla fine di un processo di secolarizzazione in cui fascismo e comunismo sono stati un momento inestricabile ma non definitivo. Nel terzo capitolo, si descriverà l’atteggiamento di Del Noce verso il fascismo e di come egli riuscì ad arrivare al suo nucleo, smascherando nei concetti e negli eventi dell’abituale antifascismo che venne alla luce e si ripropose come suo oltrepassamento. Nel quarto capitolo, si affronterà la politica che si trova sempre all’interno della filosofia, egli infatti asseriva che il compito del buon filosofo era quello di “chiarire” i problemi del proprio tempo in modo che gli uomini potessero, utilizzando la ragione, fare un uso adeguato della propria libertà. Nel quinto ed ultimo capitolo si affronteranno i valori e la società permissiva. Del Noce, infatti, fu un rigoroso osservatore della cultura e della storia del nostro tempo. In modo particolare si è mostrato un profondo conoscitore del marxismo, della società permissiva e del fenomeno della secolarizzazione.

Augusto Del Noce (Pistoia 1910 – Roma 1989) was one of the most important Catholic philosophers of the twentieth century. With this thesis we want to outline some of the phases of his philosophical journey and while we follow that thread, what mainly emerges is how he always tried to find the truth in an existential way. He was a philosopher that anticipated his times and his righteousness stayed with him for his entire life. In the first chapter we will address Augusto Del Noce's biographical itinerary, beginning with his attendance at the Massimo D'Azeglio high school where he began to outline "a vocation" that would lead him to be a Catholic philosopher proceeding on his path without ever doubting his Catholic faith. The second chapter deals with the theme of modernity, a topic that lies at the heart of Del Noce's political thought. It is characterised by the manifestation of his intrinsic idea of positive rationalism, until gradually maturing to a victory of atheism, as a result of a process of secularisation in which fascism and communism were an inextricable but not definitive phase. In the third chapter, we explore Del Noce's attitude towards fascism and how he managed to deeply analyse it, unmasking in concepts and facts the usual anti-fascism that came to light and proposed itself as its evolution. In the fourth chapter, we deal with the politics that is always behind philosophy, in fact he asserted that the task of the good philosopher was to "clarify" the problems of his time so that men could, using reason, adequately use their freedom. In the fifth and final chapter we address values and the permissive society. In fact, Del Noce was a rigorous observer of the culture and history of our time. In particular, he was a profound connoisseur of Marxism, permissive society and the phenomenon of secularization.
