Abelardo ed Eloisa. Epistolario: analisi e commento.

Abstract

Questo elaborato ha lo scopo di esaminare un tema molto dibattuto: l’Epistolario di Abelardo ed Eloisa. L’articolazione della ricerca in otto capitoli cercherà di far luce sulla questione partendo da un’introduzione in cui si affronta la biografia dei due protagonisti, la loro storia d’amore e quali conseguenze ha avuto nelle loro vite. A partire dal terzo capitolo si analizzano le singole lettere accompagnate da un commento circa l’autenticità dell’opera presa in questione. L’ultima parte della tesi verte su un altro componimento di Abelardo, lo Scito te ipsum e la figura di Eloisa rispetto a quella del suo amato. Ciò che si vuole sottolineare è il progetto definito da Van Moos che risulta naturale e al tempo stesso affascinante: Eloisa è stata determinante nella determinazione dell’opera morale di Abelardo.

This paper is intended to examine a much debated topic: the Letters of Abelard and Eloisa. The articulation of the research into eight chapters will try to shed light on the issue starting with an introduction in which the biography of the two protagonists is addressed, their love story and what consequences it had in their lives. Starting from the third chapter, the individual letters are analyzed, accompanied by a comment on the authenticity of the work in question. The last part of the thesis focuses on another composition by Abelard, the Scythus te ipsum and the figure of Heloise compared to that of her beloved. What we want to underline is the project defined by Van Moos which is natural and at the same time fascinating: Eloisa was instrumental in determining Abelard's moral work.
