Abstract

L'elaborato ha l'obiettivo di individuare e spiegare il collegamento tra la lotta curda e il femminismo. Il lavoro inizia con una breve contestualizzazione del popolo curdo, per poi esporre la narrazione italiana del Kurdistan attraverso l'analisi di libri, podcast e articoli. L'elaborato è arricchito da contenuti originali, come l'intervista a Zehra Doğan e il progetto "Nuda e curda realtà", che include una serie di articoli da pubblicare su Medium. Zehra Doğan è una giornalista e artista femminista del Kurdistan turco ed è stata il motore di tutto il progetto. "Resistenza curda, Rojava e media: la narrazione femminista è necessaria" è anche un invito a parlare delle guerre e conservare la memoria dei popoli oppressi, per dare un piccolo contributo a coloro che lottano per ottenere i propri diritti. Per trattare un argomento, però, è necessario usare le parole giuste, che sono gli strumenti del mestiere per chi fa informazione.

The paper aims to identify and explain the connection between the Kurdish struggle and feminism. It begins with a brief contextualisation of the Kurdish people, and then it exposes the Italian storytelling of Kurdistan through the analysis of books, podcasts and articles. The paper is enriched with original content, such as an interview with Zehra Doğan and the project "Nuda e curda realtà" (Naked and Kurdish reality), which includes a series of articles to be published on Medium. Zehra Doğan is a feminist journalist and artist from Turkish Kurdistan and she was the driving force behind the whole project. "Kurdish resistance, Rojava and Media: a feminist storytelling is necessary" is also an invitation to talk about wars and preserve the memory of oppressed peoples, to give a small contribution to those struggling to get their rights. To deal with a topic, however, it is necessary to use the right words, which are the tools of the trade for those who provide information.
