«Sentirsi disumani»: vita, processo, voce nell’opera di Sandro Penna

Abstract

Il presente elaborato si propone di accertare che l’«estasi» penniana non sia una situazione casuale e rivolta solamente a una polarizzazione positiva, ma sia una condizione ricercata con dovizia da Sandro Penna e che sia riscontrabile in ogni ambito. A partire dal lavoro filologico compiuto da Roberto Deidier e concretizzato nella curatela al «Meridiano» Poesie, prose e diari (Mondadori, 2017), nella mescolanza con l’approccio ermeneutico proprio degli studi di Cesare Garboli, si è voluto approfondire l’aspetto dell’estraneità: la tensione al «sentirsi disumani». Ciò è stato possibile per mezzo di categorie operanti all’interno dei lavori penniani: l’idea di «vita; l’attenzione al processo, alle procedure piuttosto che al fine, sia come costante storica quanto rintracciabile in tutte le scritture del poeta; la voce come possibilità di accesso all’«estasi» senza la mediazione del fanciullo. Queste categorie sono state viste all’atto in tre ambiti differenti: per ciò che riguarda il primo capitolo, l’ambito strettamente poetico; per il secondo, l’ambito pre-poetico, ovvero l’identificazione di un processo creativo; per il terzo, la transitività fra corpo e scrittura, per mezzo dell’intervista al poeta di Mario Schifano. Fra le pagine, particolare importanza è stata riservata agli appunti di diario: l’uso che ne è stato fatto ha trasceso il loro aspetto meramente documentale. Non sono state impiegate soltanto per ricavare informazioni sul poeta (biografiche e non), ma avvicinate in quanto testi significanti, in grado di fornire strutture, immagini e senso alla stregua di un testo poetico.

This paper aims to ascertain that Pennian «ecstasy» is not a casual situation and aimed only at a positive polarization, but is a condition thoroughly researched by Sandro Penna and that it can be found in every area. Starting from the philological work carried out by Roberto Deidier and concretized in the curatorship of the «Meridiano» Poems, prose and diaries (Mondadori, 2017), in the mixture with the hermeneutic approach typical of Cesare Garboli’s studies, we wanted to deepen the aspect of strangeness: the tension to «feel inhuman». This was possible by means of categories operating within the Pennian works: the idea of «life»; attention to the process, to procedures rather than to the end, both as a historical constant and traceable in all the poet's writings; the voice as a possibility of access to "ecstasy" without the mediation of the «fanciullo». These categories were seen at the act in three different areas: as regards the first chapter, the strictly poetic area; for the second, the pre-poetic sphere, or the identification of a creative process; for the third, the transitivity between body and writing, through the interview with the poet by Mario Schifano. Among the pages, particular importance was given to diary notes: the use made of them has transcended their purely documentary aspect. They have not been used only to obtain information on the poet (biographical and otherwise), but approached as significant texts, capable of providing structures, images and meaning in the same way as a poetic text.
