Simone Weil e il problema religioso: un dialogo con l'induismo.

Abstract

La tesi si propone lo scopo di individuare i principali nodi di interazione tra il pensiero della filosofa francese Simone Weil ed alcuni importanti testi sacri della tradizione induista. In particolare, concentrandosi maggiormente sui suoi Cahiers, l'elaborato indica quali sono state le primarie e fondamentali interpretazioni di Weil nei confronti della Bhagavadgītā e delle Upaniṣad, alla luce di un pensiero filosofico e religioso che si apre al dialogo tra fedi ed appartenenze spirituali differenti, ma pur sempre tra loro intrecciate e comunicanti. A partire dalla biografia dell'autrice, passando per la sua specifica visione del Sacro, della Verità, del Bene e del mondo materiale governato dalle matematiche leggi della Necessità, si giunge a descrivere una lunga catena di figure spirituali nel tempo e nella storia che hanno contribuito alla formazione di una base religiosa eterna ed essenziale per l’umanità; in questo scenario deve essere collocato lo studio che Simone Weil affronta circa l’induismo e, quindi, intorno ai suoi punti focali, i quali vengono trattati lungo lo svolgimento dell’argomentazione presentata: la tradizione del dharma, le specificità dell’ātman e della prakṛti, il principio assoluto del Brahman, la via amorosa e devozionale della bhakti, la relazione tra kāma e karman, per concludere con un breve sguardo sull’eticità del desiderio.

The thesis aims to identify the main nodes of interaction between the thought of the French philosopher Simone Weil and some important sacred texts of the Hindu tradition. In particular, focusing more on his Cahiers, the work indicates what were Weil’s primary and fundamental interpretations of Bhagavadgītā and Upaniṣad, in the light of a philosophical and religious thought that opens to dialogue between different faiths and spiritual affiliations, but still intertwined and communicating. Starting from the biography of the author, passing through her specific vision of the Sacred, of Truth, of Good and of the material world governed by the mathematical laws of Necessity, it comes to describe a long chain of spiritual figures in time and history who have contributed to the formation of an eternal and essential religious base for humanity; in this scenario must be placed the study that Simone Weil deals with Hinduism and, therefore, around its focal points, which are treated along the course of the argument presented: the tradition of the dharma, the specificities of the ātman and prakṛti, the absolute principle of Brahman, the loving and devotional way of bhakti, the relationship between kāma and Karman, to conclude with a brief look at the ethicity of desire.
