| it_IT |
dc.description.abstract | The thesis aims to identify the main nodes of interaction between the thought of the French philosopher Simone Weil and some important sacred texts of the Hindu tradition. In particular, focusing more on his Cahiers, the work indicates what were Weil’s primary and fundamental interpretations of Bhagavadgītā and Upaniṣad, in the light of a philosophical and religious thought that opens to dialogue between different faiths and spiritual affiliations, but still intertwined and communicating. Starting from the biography of the author, passing through her specific vision of the Sacred, of Truth, of Good and of the material world governed by the mathematical laws of Necessity, it comes to describe a long chain of spiritual figures in time and history who have contributed to the formation of an eternal and essential religious base for humanity; in this scenario must be placed the study that Simone Weil deals with Hinduism and, therefore, around its focal points, which are treated along the course of the argument presented: the tradition of the dharma, the specificities of the ātman and prakṛti, the absolute principle of Brahman, the loving and devotional way of bhakti, the relationship between kāma and Karman, to conclude with a brief look at the ethicity of desire. | en_UK |
