This thesis explores the relationship between urban regeneration and social planning through the case of QR Certosa–Campasso, developed in the Genoese neighbourhoods affected by the collapse of the Morandi Bridge. Urban acupuncture is used as an interpretative framework to examine how small-scale interventions can generate broader effects on relationships, participation and community life. The research adopts a qualitative and ethnographic approach based on participant observation, interviews and direct engagement with local community spaces, with particular attention to the 13D Community House and the Via Porro gym. The findings show that the effects of the project extend beyond its original goals and the physical transformation of space. Generative processes, informal networks, practices of care and belonging emerge, together with a significant gap between formally designed networks and those actually enacted in everyday life. The case therefore suggests a social interpretation of urban acupuncture as a perspective for understanding interventions capable of activating local resources and new forms of collective action.en_UK
