| it_IT |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis, entitled Knowing to Intervene, analyses the implementation phase of the RSC – Roma, Sinti and Caminanti Project in the Municipality of Genoa. The research concerns the three territories involved: Municipio Valpolcevera, Municipio Ponente and Municipio Media Val Bisagno. The aim is to verify what has been concretely achieved and how, comparing the provisions of the National Public Notice with the actions implemented at the territorial level. To this end, monitoring forms were developed and compiled through interviews with project representatives in the three Municipalities. The survey allowed us to identify activities implemented and those not implemented, as well as critical issues and obstacles that emerged during implementation. These elements are relevant to reflect on the future sustainability of the project. The research also includes an anthropological study of the Romani and Sinta communities, based on literature and interviews with professionals experienced in social work. This deepening allowed us to bring into dialogue three points of view on the implementation of the project: that of people of Roma origin, that of operators and that of institutions. The comparison highlighted, in some cases, different interpretations of the same issues. The common thread is the principle of knowing to intervene. Knowing the history, culture, values, relationships, and experiences of communities means designing interventions that are more attentive to people's contexts and needs, avoiding stereotypes and simplified representations. The analysis of the RSC Project also allowed us to detect a progressive orientation towards more participatory intervention methods. | en_UK |
