This paper aims to highlight the importance of correctly using Developmental Observation Techniques for children with a migrant background, specifically and carefully adapting the methods, tools, and timing of observation sessions. The first chapter emphasizes the relevance of Developmental Observation Techniques in educational practice and highlights the specific skills of educators. The second chapter addresses the topic of migration in schools, drawing on current statistics. A fundamental pillar of the school-family relationship is the parent-child-educator triad, which forms the basis of the communicative and social bond. Modern society is characterized by a high level of multiculturalism, which means that children constantly interact with other cultures and traditions. The heterogeneity of educational classrooms requires educators to continuously train and adapt and update their Developmental Observation Techniques, especially when applied to children from abroad. The third and final chapter presents some observation techniques aimed at children with a migrant background, also highlighting some of the fundamental objectives to be achieved in order to build effective and efficient child observation.en_UK
