IL GIOCO D'AZZARDO PATOLOGICO: LE STRATEGIE D'INTERVENTO DELL'ASSISTENTE SOCIALE

Abstract

La tesi intende analizzare il Gioco d'Azzardo Patologico (GAP) come una dipendenza comportamentale che compromette gravemente la sfera personale, familiare, relazionale, lavorativa ed economica dell'individuo. L'elaborato parla dell'evoluzione del disturbo dal DSM-III al DSM-V che lo inserisce nella categoria delle dipendenze (addiction). Il lavoro si concentra sul ruolo dell'Assistente Sociale all'interno dei Servizi per le Dipendenze (Ser.D) e descrive il processo d'aiuto nelle sue fasi e l'intervento nelle diverse aree collegate al Gioco d'Azzardo Patologico.

The following work analyzes the Pathological Gambling as a behavioral addiction that can compromise an a individual's personal, family social and economic life. It discusses the evolution from being includied on the DSM-III as "Pathological Gambling" to being classified as an "addiction" on DSM-V. The work is focused on the role of the Social Work within the addiction Services and their intervention in specific areas related to Pathological Gambling.
