Abstract

La tesi indaga la rivista femminista, d'arte e politica "HERESIES: A Feminist Publication on Art and Politics" attiva tra il 1977 ed il 1993. Attraverso due capitoli sono affrontate le vicende storiche del collettivo che gestisce la rivista e lo spoglio integrale dei suoi contenuti. L'analisi di HERESIES ha portato alla luce una fetta di produzione visuale-culturale slegata dalla tendenza dominante maschile. Pertanto il lavoro risulta fondamentale per non disperdere la memoria di una rivista che si erge a portavoce di un contesto florido e sfaccettato.

This thesis analyzes the feminist magazine about art and politics “HERESIES: A Feminist Publication on Art and Politics,” which was published between 1977 and 1993. Divided into two chapters, this work address the historical events of the collective that managed the magazine and a complete analysis of its contents. The analysis of HERESIES has brought to light a great slice of visual-cultural production unrelated to the dominant male trend. Therefore, this work is fundamental in preserving the memory of a magazine that stands as a spokesperson for a flourishing and multifaceted art context.
