Linguaggio infantile e pedagogia: un’inchiesta nelle scuole di Acqui Terme

Abstract

La mia tesi si concentra sullo studio del linguaggio infantile nell’ambito della linguistica generale. Dopo aver analizzato i primi studi sui processi di acquisizione linguistica nei bambini, a partire dalle osservazioni di Erodoto e Jakobson, è stato ideato e somministrato un questionario a insegnanti della scuola primaria, con l’obiettivo di osservare le difficoltà e le acquisizioni linguistiche dalla prima alla quinta elementare. Il questionario, composto da sei domande aperte e ventuno domande chiuse, analizza aspetti morfologici, sintattici, lessicali, il bilinguismo e le strategie didattiche utilizzate dalle maestre. I risultati hanno evidenziato sia le lacune sia i punti di forza nel percorso evolutivo della lingua nei bambini, delineando il processo di sviluppo linguistico in età scolare.

My thesis focuses on the study of child language within the field of general linguistics. After reviewing early studies on language acquisition processes in children, starting from the observations of Herodotus and Jakobson, a questionnaire was designed and administered to primary school teachers with the aim of examining linguistic difficulties and achievements from first to fifth grade. The questionnaire, consisting of six open-ended questions and twenty-one closed-ended questions, investigates morphological, syntactic, and lexical aspects, bilingualism, and the teaching strategies employed by the teachers. The results highlighted both the gaps and strengths in the children’s language development, outlining the process of linguistic growth during primary school years.
