Strategie linguistiche del comico nella stand up comedy italiana

Abstract

La tesi tratta delle strategie linguistiche del comico nell'ambito della stand up comedy in Italia, avendo come riferimento i principali studi sull'umorismo verbale del Novecento. L'obiettivo è quello di rilevare le costruzioni linguistiche che attivano il meccanismo della risata all'interno di testi trascritti da alcuni campioni audiovisivi di esibizioni di stand-up comedy italiana degli ultimi quindici anni, soffermandosi sui piani micro- e macro-testuale ed evidenziando il rapporto con i principi teorici riportati nel primo capitolo dell'elaborato. In ultimo luogo si individuano le tecniche più usate dai performer per aumentare l'affinità con il pubblico e per strutturare battute efficaci.

The thesis addresses the linguistic strategies of comedians within the context of stand-up comedy in Italy, referencing the main studies on verbal humor from the XXth century. The objective is to identify the linguistic constructions that trigger the mechanism of laughter within texts transcribed from selected audiovisual samples of Italian stand-up comedy performances from the last fifteen years, focusing on both micro- and macro-textual levels and underlining the relationship with the theoretical principles reported in the first chapter of the work. Lastly, it identifies the most recurring techniques used by performers to enhance affinity with the audience and to structure efficacious jokes.
