Prostate carcinoma represents the most prevalent malignancy among men in Italy and other Western countries. Its incidence is steadily increasing; however, early diagnosis and the advent of advanced imaging technologies enable effective treatment and high survival rates. Given that the tumor may present as either asymptomatic or aggressive, accurate grading is crucial in determining the most appropriate therapeutic approach. Recent therapeutic innovations, including PARP inhibitors, radioligand therapy, and immunotherapy, have significantly improved patient prognosis while simultaneously increasing the complexity of clinical management. Within this evolving therapeutic landscape, the nurse assumes a pivotal role in symptom management, patient education, psychological support, and the promotion of autonomy. The ongoing development of nursing practice must therefore align with therapeutic advancements to enhance patients’ overall quality of life.Prostate carcinoma represents the most prevalent malignancy among men in Italy and other Western countries.
