L'utilizzo dell'intelligenza artificiale per l'individuazione di pratiche di greenwashing

Abstract

L’obiettivo di questa tesi è comprendere come l’intelligenza artificiale possa essere utilizzata nell’individuazione delle pratiche di greenwashing, con una prospettiva sia interna che esterna. Si procederà in prima parte ad introdurre il tema del greenwashing, con particolare riferimento alla sua rilevanza e alle conseguenze che ciò possa avere, analizzando inoltre la regolamentazione presente sia a livello nazionale che a livello europeo, con le relative ambiguità e perplessità che possono nascere. Terminata questa prima parte ci concentreremo maggiormente su come l’intelligenza artificiale possa essere effettivamente rilevante e utile in tale ambito, comprendendo quali modelli e tecniche possano essere utilizzate per poterne sfruttare le potenzialità nella maniera più efficace possibile, tenendo sempre in considerazione la continua ed importante evoluzione che interessa il tema dell’intelligenza artificiale nel suo complesso. Infine, dopo aver illustrato le possibilità di applicazione con i suoi relativi limiti, si procederà ad applicare direttamente alcune delle possibilità individuate precedentemente, per testare ed eventualmente confermare la validità delle opzioni proposte.

The goal of this thesis is to explore how artificial intelligence can be used to identify greenwashing practices, considering both internal and external perspectives. The first part will introduce the concept of greenwashing, emphasizing its significance and the potential consequences it entails. Additionally, the existing regulatory framework at both national and European levels will be analyzed, highlighting the ambiguities and concerns that may arise. After this part, the focus will shift to examining the role of artificial intelligence in this domain, identifying the models and techniques that can be used to maximize its effectiveness. This will be done while taking into account the continuous and significant advancements in the field of artificial intelligence as a whole. Finally, after illustrating the possibilities for application and their relative limitations, we will proceed to directly apply some of the possibilities identified previously, in order to test and possibly confirm the validity of the proposed options.
