Hardening di Server Debian orientato alla Direttiva NIS2

Abstract

L’entrata in vigore della Direttiva (UE) 2022/2555 (NIS2) segna un punto di svolta nella tutela delle infrastrutture digitali europee, ponendo requisiti più rigorosi in materia di cyber security, gestione dei rischi, risposta agli incidenti e resilienza dei sistemi. Per rispondere a tali esigenze, l’azienda On The Cloud s.r.l. mi ha proposto di generare uno script di hardening che installi e configuri, determinati servizi necessari alla gestione degli accessi e dei tentativi di accessi a dei server Debian. Unitamente si è poi proceduto ad un’analisi dei log.

The entry into force of Directive (EU) 2022/2555, known as NIS2, represents a significant turning point in the protection of digital infrastructures across Europe. The directive introduces more stringent requirements in the fields of cybersecurity, risk management, incident response, and system resilience. In response to these challenges, the company On The Cloud S.r.l. assigned me the task of developing a hardening script designed to automatically install and configure key security services required for managing access and login attempts on Debian-based servers. Furthermore, a log analysis component was implemented to ensure continuous monitoring.
