Empatia e neuroni specchio : sentire ciò che l'altro sente.

Abstract

L'empatia, è un emozione importante, che si sviluppa fin dalla prima infanzia. Dietro a questo termine, si nascondono diversi significati psicologici, neuroscientifici e cognitivi. L'obbiettivo della tesi è quello di indagare sull'empatia tra adulti e bambini in correlazione al meccanismo dei neuroni specchio, situati nella corteccia premotoria cerebrale e strettamente connessi alle emozioni. Il primo capitolo tratta dell'origine storica della parola empatia, e in particolare se ne osserva il significato psicologico tramite la figura di Martin Hoffmann, che ha illustrato cinque principali livelli di empatia nell'infanzia. Il secondo capitolo illustra l'ambito della neuroscienza e della psicologia, affrontando il tema dei neuroni specchio, a partire dalla scoperta di essi da parte di Giacomo Rizzolatti tramite verifiche ed esperimenti. Nel terzo e ultimo capitolo, si studia la relazione tra empatia e neuroni specchio, facendo un particolare riferimento alla teoria della mente, che fa emergere l'aspetto relazionale tra adulti e bambini. Quindi si svolge un percorso di indagine rivolto all'infanzia e all'adulto, in cui si osserva come avviene la comprensione degli stati emotivi in relazione ai neuroni specchio dai primi giorni di vita del bambino fino ad arrivare all'età adulta.

Empathy, is an important emotions, that originates from early childhood. Behind this word, different psychological, neuroscientific and neurons meanings are hiddens. The aim of the thesis is investigates of empathy between adults and children in correlation with the mecchanism of the mirror neurons, located in the cerebral premotor codex and closely connected to emotions. First chapter talk about storical origins of the word empathy, and in particular, it's observed the psychological meanings with Mr. Martin Hoffmann, that illustrated five main livels of empathy in the childhood. Second chapter, illustrates the field of neuscience and psychology addressing the theme of mirror neurons; starting from the discovery of them by Giacomo Rizzolatti through tests and experiments. Third and the last chapter, studies of relationship between empaphy and mirror neurons, making particoluar reference to the theory of mind, that making particolar reference between adults and childre. Than an investigations pats of childhood and adults, in which we observe how the understanding of emotional states in relation to mirror neurons takes place from the first days of the child's life up to adulthood.
