IL CORPO: AL CONFINE FRA NATURA E SOCIETA'

Abstract

La seguente analisi si concentra sul tema del corpo umano, affrontato da un punto di vista sociologico e antropologico. Dopo aver attuato una digressione storica al fine di comprendere come si è giunti alla concezione contemporanea del corpo, sono stati approfonditi argomenti come la cultura della bellezza e le pratiche corporee ad essa connesse, i disturbi del comportamento alimentare, il pregiudizio verso alcune tipologie di corpi e l'incertezza esistenziale vigente che conduce l'essere umano ad un controllo sempre maggiore del proprio corpo, nella speranza che almeno esso possa rappresentare un punto di riferimento a cui aggrapparsi.

The following analysis focuses on the theme of the human body, approached from a sociological and anthropological perspective. After a historical digression to understand how we arrived at the contemporary conception of the body, it explores topics such as the culture of beauty and related bodily practices, eating disorders, prejudice against certain body types, and the prevailing existential uncertainty that leads human beings to increasingly control their bodies, in the hope that at least they can provide a point of reference to which they can cling.
