Questa tesi esplora il tema del bilinguismo nei primi 1000 giorni di vita, analizzando come l'acquisizione di due lingue influisca sullo sviluppo cognitivo, emotivo e sociale dei bambini. Strutturata in tre capitoli, la ricerca inizia con una panoramica sullo sviluppo del linguaggio, evidenziando le fasi di acquisizione e le componenti fondamentali. Il secondo capitolo si concentra sui vantaggi del bilinguismo, sottolineando come l'esposizione a due lingue possa arricchire le competenze cognitive e facilitare l'apprendimento. Infine, il terzo capitolo esamina l'impatto del bilinguismo sulla regolazione emotiva e cognitiva, dimostrando che i bambini bilingui tendono a sviluppare una maggiore flessibilità cognitiva e abilità di problem-solving. La tesi conclude con l'importanza di supportare il bilinguismo nelle istituzioni educative e nelle famiglie, promuovendo un ambiente inclusivo e valorizzando le diversità linguistiche.

This thesis explores the theme of bilingualism in the first 1000 days of life, analyzing how the acquisition of two languages affects children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. Structured into three chapters, the research begins with an overview of language development, highlighting the stages of acquisition and fundamental components. The second chapter focuses on the advantages of bilingualism, emphasizing how exposure to two languages can enrich cognitive skills and facilitate learning. Finally, the third chapter examines the impact of bilingualism on emotional and cognitive regulation, demonstrating that bilingual children tend to develop greater cognitive flexibility and problem-solving skills.
