Comunità Queer & Kinky e Sottocultura Furry: Come la Percezione Esterna Stigmatizzante Misinterpreta l'Anormale

Abstract

Questa tesi è suddivisa utilizzando un sistema ad imbuto. Capitolo per capitolo si scende sempre di più nel cuore dell’argomento, facendo così che il lettore possa essere equipaggiato con tutti gli strumenti necessari per meglio comprendere il materiale trattato nel contesto più specifico del discorso. L’obbiettivo della tesi è fornire al lettore un’analisi approfondita a che fare con, nel contesto della sociologia della devianza, la comunità LGBTQ+, le persone kinky e praticanti di BDSM, e la sottocultura furry. Viviamo in un contesto sociale nel quale ognuno è costantemente percepito da chiunque altro, spesso anche in modo passivo e involontario. Prendiamo l’opportunità di quindi meglio esplorare le varie sfaccettature che portano a questo fenomeno di etichettamento proveniente della percezione esterna, e come esattamente porta alla formazione dello stigma che tormenta quelli conseguentemente etichettati in modo diverso rispetto alla maggioranza. Il testo nasce da un mio desiderio di esporre gli aspetti più profondi di queste sottoculture e rimuoverne la misinformazione, prendendomi anche cura di confrontarle legando i concetti chiave e particolarità ricorrenti. La sociologia della devianza mira proprio ad analizzare le intricatezze a che fare con i gruppi di persone marginalizzate nel contesto della vita quotidiana ed in base alle regole sociali stabilite in essa. Non tratteremo solamente del contesto storico e sociale tra i gruppi, ma anche degli sviluppi della letteratura scientifica al riguardo, confrontando le varie e complesse opinioni che si sono sviluppate nel corso del tempo. Una volta stabilite le conoscenze necessarie per navigare le parti più specifiche, discuteremo anche le intricatezze tra le comunità stesse, scendendo sempre di più in un lavoro di collegamento tra di esse.

This thesis is divided using a funnel method. Each chapter is going to further expand into the core of the main topic, making it so the reader can be properly equipped with the necessary tools to better comprehend the material related to the more specific context of the argument. The objective of the thesis is to provide the reader with a deep analysis about the LGBTQ+ community, kinky individuals and BDSM practitioners, and furry subculture in the context of sociology of deviancy. We live in a social context in which everybody is constantly perceived by everybody else, often in a passive and involuntary way too. We take the opportunity to properly explore the various facets that create this phenomenon originated from the external perception, and how it causes the creation of the stigma that torments those who are consequently labeled in a different way compared to the majority. The text was born from my desire to expose the deeper aspects related to these subcultures, removing misinformation, and taking care to confront them, connecting the key concepts and recurrent topics. Sociology of deviancy aims to analyze the intricacies related to groups of marginalized people in the context of everyday life, and based on previously established social rules. We won't only be talking about the historical and social context, but also about the developments of scientific literature about them, confronting the various and complex opinions that developed over time regarding these groups. Once we establish the necessary knowledge to better navigate the more specific parts, we will also discuss the specifics of the communities themselves, going deeper into explaining connections between them.
