Una seconda possibilità: l'empowerment dei detenuti in carcere. Una revisione sistematica della letteratura.

Abstract

Il tema dell’empowerment dei detenuti è di grande rilevanza nel dibattito sulla giustizia e sul reinserimento sociale. Questa tesi è un umbrella review ovvero una revisione sistematica che prevede l’utilizzo del metodo PRISMA, affinché potessero essere selezionate le revisioni ed è composta da tre capitoli. L'obiettivo della tesi è di analizzare l’efficacia dei programmi di intervento per l’empowerment dei detenuti e la riduzione della recidiva. Attraverso l’analisi dei risultati ottenuti da altri studi in cui sono stati messi in atto determinati programmi che riguardano l’area educativa, psicologica e di comunità si intende comprendere come essi possano contribuire a rafforzare le capacità individuali e a migliorare le prospettive di reinserimento sociale dei detenuti, aprendo loro nuovi orizzonti. Tramite questi risultati è possibile giungere alla conclusione che dare la possibilità ai detenuti di partecipare a questi tipi di programmi durante il loro percorso penitenziario dia loro l’opportunità di potenziare il loro empowerment e quindi le loro capacità e autonomia per un futuro migliore e con maggiori possibilità di non incorrere nella recidiva, sarebbe inoltre fondamentale cercare il loro coinvolgimento nella realizzazione dei progetti in modo che possano soddisfare al meglio le loro esigenze personali individuali.

The topic of prisoner empowerment is of great importance in the debate on justice and social reintegration. This dissertation is an umbrella review—a systematic review using the PRISMA method to select the reviews- composed of three charapters. The primary objective of this dissertation is to analyze the effectiveness of intervention programs for prisoner empowerment and reducing recidivism. By analyzing the results of other studies implementing specific educational, psychological, and community programs, we aim to understand how these programs can contribute to strengthening individual capabilities and improving prisoners' prospects for social reintegration, opening up new horizons for them. These findings suggest that providing inmates with the opportunity to participate in these types of programs during their prison time provides them with the opportunity to enhance their empowerment and, therefore, their skills and autonomy for a better future, with a greater chance of avoiding recidivism. It would also be crucial to seek their involvement in the implementation of these projects so that they can satisfy their individual needs.
