Adolescenti con disturbo dello spettro autistico e relazioni tra pari.

Abstract

La mia tesi nasce dalla volontà di approfondire il modo in cui gli adolescenti con DSA vivono la relazione con i coetanei e la propria adolescenza. Quest’ultima è una fase in cui il bisogno di appartenenza, l’identificazione con il gruppo, l’amicizia e le prime esperienze affettive diventano elementi chiave per lo sviluppo personale. Per gli adolescenti con autismo queste dimensioni possono rappresentare delle sfide significative. L’obbiettivo di questo lavoro è duplice: da un lato comprendere le difficoltà che gli adolescenti con autismo possono incontrare nelle relazioni tra pari, dall’altro, esplorare come uno strumento di intervento, partendo da quella che rappresenta una fragilità relazionale, possa diventare una risorsa per promuovere l’inclusione e lo sviluppo sociale.

My thesis stems from a desire to explore how adolescents with autism experience relationships with their peers and their own adolescence. Adolescence is a phase in which the need to belong, identification with the group, friendship, and first emotional experiences become key elements for personal development. For adolescents with autism, these aspects can represent significant challenges. The aim of this work is twofold: on the one hand, to understand the difficulties that adolescents with autism may encounter in peer relationships; on the other, to explore how an intervention tool, starting from what represents a relational fragility, can become a resource for promoting inclusion and social development.
